The Phnom Penh Court of Appeal on 27 May 2025 upheld the conviction of labour leader Morm Rithy, president of the Cambodian Tourism and Service Workers’ Federation (CTSWF), for inciting and discrediting judicial decisions. He was originally convicted in May 2024 by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court and sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined 2 million riel (about $500 USD).
